Now that I have an online business what do I do? Have you found yourself asking the same question? Many of these “Work At Home” (WAH) programs that are on the internet promise quick riches with minimal work on your part. They proudly boast money back guarantees and will even tell you that you can make money within hours of joining. Now I know many of us (including myself) have believed these bold statements and sought out to accomplish the same only later to be disappointed by our failed efforts.

Most online business opportunities are offering a free website or webpage. This is good; however you most likely won’t be able to modify this type of website. They are cookie cutter type websites and everyone that signs up with the company gets that same exact website. Some companies allow you to make customization to the site using a web tool. Let’s say you bought an ecommerce store for children’s clothing called Kids-A-Roo (totally fictitious). With your membership you will receive 50% commission on everything you sell (sound familiar). They will also provide you with a free website with a sub domain name meaning your domain name will look something like this www.kids-a-roo/yourname (or similar). Most companies also offer a member area with tips and suggestions on marketing. This is also good, carefully review their content and utilize whatever works best for you. So here you are with your website up and running the minute you signed up. I’m sure you are very excited and can’t wait to make your first sale. You send out an email to your family and friends announcing your new business. You will probably get a few sales from that, but not enough to make you rich. You wait a few days and nothing seems to happen. You start to get frustrated and are wondering why you’re not making any money. Does this sound familiar? The remaining of my training is going to tell you what to do to change all of that. * Be careful when searching the net because there are many scams out there. Check out my Scams Alert! section for reported companies.
